I have been a member for 11 years. I joined Rotary first for business connections which quickly turned into friendships. My grandfather was a Rotarian many years ago and I remember how proud he was to be a member of this very special organization.

 

I was born and raised in Stillwater and have lived in the area all my life. My Late husband Dick and I lived in Oak Park Heights for 42 years. He passed away in 2015, I met my husband Jon 2017 at a MN Twins game for the American Cancer Society. He will tell you he was hit in the head by a foul ball and woke up 17 months later married, this is a falsehood 😊. I have 1 brother and 2 sisters. Jon has 2 sons. Jeff lives in western Minnesota and Chris and family live by Gettysburg PA. We have one grandson Bennett who will be 5 in November. Most of my family live in Washington state so we tend to get a little travel time in.

 

I have been a volunteer for the American Cancer Society since 1985 and a member of the Cancer Action Network for over 10 years. Relay For Life is one of my top priorities. We need to find a cure and take care of our survivors.

 

Everything I have done with Rotary has a special place in my heart. I cannot pick just one.

 

My favorite pastime is golf; I am not good at it but love to play. My husband and I are organic gardeners’ northwest of Stillwater. Gardening is fun but would rather golf 😊.
