We are in the final month of the Rotary Year -- final month of our matching challenge:
Please help us complete the ($10,000) challenge for matching funds to our (Long Term) Stillwater Rotary Fund at the St. Croix Valley Foundation.   We are about a third of our way to our goal!  Everyone should participate and contribute.  Donors of gifts of $500 or more will also receive Paul Harris recognition points.    Annually, we are able to make grants using returns from the long term funds.

Last Week's Meeting
Jessica Ryan, with United Way - East, spoke last week about the Youth Service focus of United Way in our area. She also discussed how Covid 19 is effecting the non-profits here.

Meeting Tomorrow
Join us tomorrow for our scheduled virtual meetings at our regular meeting time. It is a great opportunity to weigh in with good news, fellowship, and sergeant-at-arms. We hope you can join us!

Tomorrow, May 28th we will be joined via Zoom Meeting - Dr Joy Thomas, U of M

It will not be perfect, but it will be good to see everyone and hear from each other.  You will be muted when you come on. It works best to leave yourself muted when you are not talking to reduce background noise. To unmute, you can either click "Unmute" in the top right corner or bottom left corner of your screen or press and hold the spacebar on your computer.

To join the meeting, you only need to click on the link: https://zoom.us/j/126337508

Help Wanted
Time to step up and show that Rotary motto "Service above Self"

Our club maintains a rain garden in Stillwater on 4th St S behind the Veterans Memorial. It has been cleaned up but now needs some sprucing up (plants, mulch, etc.).

Bob Sherman has offered to take the lead on this project. It would be great to have a couple people who would help him with the work. If you are interested let Bob know.

Highway clean up will also be scheduled soon.

Graduation 2020
Show your support for our Stillwater Graduates!

Mike Polehna, Stillwater city council member, has organized a car parade for the graduates for Friday, May  29.  He wanted Rotarians to know about the event.

The parade will start at the High school parking lot at 8:34 p.m.
Students will either drive themselves or be driven.
The parade will proceed north on Highway 5 and jog left to Owens street, and then to Len's grocery.  It will go down Myrtle street to Main street. It will end at Chef's Gallery Corner.

The community is asked to find spots (social distancing) and could applaud, sing, cheer or have signs of congratulations.
