I am thrilled to be starting my term as President of the Stillwater Rotary!

This week's meeting

Please join us this Thursday as we hear from Rotarian Ann Frisch.

She will be showing “What if we nuke a city”, a short video created by the Red Cross and Red Crescent and there will be time for discussion. We will tell what other Rotary Clubs and cities are doing to respond to the threat of our mutual destruction. We will be joined by Rotarians from India. All views are welcome in Rotary!

Fond Farewells

Saying Goodbye to Members:

Denise Pontrelli has moved on from Stillwater Area Public Schools, and with that move also leaves our Rotary Club. Denise was a member of the club for five years. We wish Denise well.

Jim Schug has also made the decision to leave Rotary. Jim was a member of our club for 27 years and will be greatly missed.

Relay for Life

Relay For Life is happening on August 7 ^th 5pm – 11pm at the Zephyr Theater.

Lois is selling Luminary Bags for $10 each.

If you would like to purchase a luminary, please email Lois at rlraboin@comcast.net with how many you want and the names you would like on the bags (in memory of or honor of). Put "Relay" in the subject line. You can pay her when you see her.

Everyone is invited down to the Relay. You will have to sign a release form and all COVID 19 prevention practices will be followed. Masks are required and will be available to all. We will be limiting the number of people on the track at a time to follow social distancing guidelines.

We offer our deepest condolences to Rotarian Tom McCarty on the loss of his mother on July 8.

Hank Sampson Award

CONGRATULATIONS to Tracey Galowitz for being awarded the Hank Sampson Award for Service Above Self. Tracey has selflessly given so much of herself to the Stillwater Rotary Club for 32 years. The award is well-deserved, and we are grateful.
