The Service Committee hosted a volunteering opportunity at Valley Outreach last week. Thank you to our volunteers: Sharon, Tom, Patty, Lois, Katie, Molly, Clare, and Bev! I am lucky to have 4 sons who gave me 4 wonderful daughters, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great granddaughters. I grew up in Evanston IL and came to MN for college at Carleton, met and married Fletcher. We spent our first year in Germany (Army service), was discharged there and spent 5 months traveling Europe in an Isetta, pup tent and sleeping bags with a one-burner stove.
After 2 years in Chicago we moved to Mahtomedi, Withrow and finally to Dellwood. I'm a public sector person - worked at the Legislature, Dept. of Human Services, MN Assoc of Counties, UM, and finally as Asst. Commissioner at Dept of Revenue. During my work life I represented my agencies at the Capitol which was fun then but wouldn't be so much fun now. Currently on the Dellwood Planning Commission and WBL Foundation Board. Been in Rotary since 2006 and it is my happy place - wonderful people and exciting opportunities. My other interests are traveling, skiing and reading.
