2016 Stillwater Rotary Sampler Live Auction
Roger Smith is collecting the "Live Auction" Items, following is the list as of 1/8/16:

  1. Progressive Rail, Inc. Working Diesel Train Engine Ride. Up to four adults (or 2 adults and three children aged 3-16 years) travel roundtrip with the engineer, right up front at the controls. For the train enthusiast, this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to ride in a working diesel locomotive. No ”G-force” here, just the feel of raw, unadulterated power under your feet, as it pulls hundreds of tons. Approximately 1.5-2 hour trip.

  2. Science Museum of Minnesota General Admission and Behind-the-Scenes Tour. Up to 7 people get a private and rare opportunity to go behind closed doors to the Paleontology, Biology, and Archaeology/Anthropology laboratories and collection facilities.  The privileged group will see selected treasures from amongst almost 2 million items that never go on display, including  an Australian opalized plesiosaur skeleton (marine reptile from the Age of Dinosaurs…Think Loch Ness “Monster”). A rare experience indeed and one of Minnesota’s best-kept secrets. Go behind closed doors and stand in awe. No cameras allowed—just leave with vivid memories.

  3. Bob Safe Pork Dinner. Named after one of the Club’s now-deceased members, this is a wonderful all-inclusive meal for up to 10 lucky diners. Served on your premises or at a venue of your choice, the meal includes salad, entrée of pork and potatoes, and home-made dessert, complete with wines for each course. Tried and true over many years now, our team of Rotary volunteers will make and serve this meal and even do clean-up. You just sit and relax and enjoy. Could it get any better?

  4. Wall of Wine. Come and take a look at what our Rotary members have assembled as a great opportunity to start a collection of up-scale wines, from every corner of this planet. An eclectic group, of course, but many bottles to enjoy over many years forward.

  5. Wall of Whiskey. For those more inclined to distilled spirits, our members have assembled an eclectic group of whiskeys from around the world. Win this auction item and enjoy the results for years to come.

  6. Bill Turnblad Wine Tasting. Our Rotary member, Bill Turnblad, experienced in wine production and leading tastings, will come to your home or other venue of choice to lead a group of up to 10 people in tasting wines that interest you and your guests. This can be tailored to your desires to explore varying varietals or wine regions. A fantastic opportunity to explore under the guidance of a knowledgeable expert.
Last Week's Program (1/14/16)
