If you could have dinner with one person living or dead, who would it be?
My mom. She passed away in 2011 and I miss her every day. Would love to just be with her and talk.
The best piece of advice you were ever given?
Live in the moment. It’s so easy to get caught up in all the things we need to do or should be doing. I wish that I did better at this when my kids were little, but am better at reminding myself now.
When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a pediatrician. I always loved kids and was sad to be the youngest in my family. I came pretty close though, becoming a pediatric speech/language pathologist.
Do you have a skill or talent most people don’t know about?
This is hard, I feel like an open book. I guess many people don’t know that I was a competitive swimmer for 12 years. I love to swim now at the cabin, but when my siblings and I were younger, we were in the water all the time.

Share a funny story that involves another member of our club? I have had a lot of fun times, but something funny is that when do the highway clean-up, for years I was with Sally Anderson and we would have contests for who got the best trash and the first bottle of Fireball. She always got MANY more wood ticks than I did.
What is your favorite way to start your day?
I start every day by working out, but my FAVORITE way would be sitting outside at the cabin with coffee and my book. Listening to the birds and waking up gently.
What is an item you have way too many of?
Purses and shoes, but I’ve gotten better at purging them too.
